Was in town for some work and decided to check out a couple of the local spots. So glad I did! First of all, Milwaukee is way cooler of a city than I had thought. Not sure where my original impression came from, but this place is great. Lots of craft beer and lots of good distilleries to visit. I only made it to 2.
The first one was Central Standard and this place did not disappoint. They have a Rye Vodka! And they do a Scotch style Whiskey. They also have a good Bourbon and a Rye. The tasting was super generous so I had to kind of take my time before heading out. I snagged a few bottles for the collection and went on my way.
You have to check this place out. Great tasting and great cocktail options behind the bar. It’s also in a really cool part of town so it’s worth the trip.
