While in Dallas I stopped in at Witherspoon to check the place out. I had emailed them before since the time I was available they weren’t open, but they said I could come by and take a quick tour so that was already a win in my book.

First off, I’m a sucker for the aged wood look of a building / room / bar. Whoever did the design of this place nailed it. The tasting room and bar are really well done. We were greeted and walked through a little tasting, then they took us back to see the rest of the facility (even though I don’t think they were supposed to!) This would actually be a pretty amazing place for a work function as a side note.

They have a white whiskey that is really good. I’m not usually a fan, but this stuff was good. I also got to try their bourbon and single malt, really deep flavors, super good. I’ve found myself heading in more of a bourbon direction lately so this place was right up my alley.

I love the passion of craft distilleries – you can feel it everywhere in the building – and Witherspoon is no different. You really should check this place out!
