Stop #3 on Day 1 of my Bourbon Trail experience was at a true craft joint called Bluegrass Distillers. Walking up you can just feel the passion and love at this place. I will say it was interesting to visit the “small” shops along the trail as they don’t get as much hype and definitely don’t have the marketing dollars to spend like the big 11, but man I loved each and every one. Bluegrass was no exception!

There’s just one big room when you get there, but there is a dog behind the counter so you have that to look forward to. Sat for a tasting (quickly began to realize I wasn’t going to be able to taste at every stop along the way if I wanted to live…) and it was good. Friendly staff, cool vibe, good Bourbon, good friend by my side, Sunday afternoon – life doesn’t get much better than that!

This one is technically not on the Bourbon Trail, but it is on the Craft Tour which is a whole other passport you can get filled.
