Apple Crisp

This recipe is best used with Granny Smith Apples.

Apple Crisp

Servings: 1 pan


  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 6 tbs butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder


For the apples

  • Fill a large bread pan 1/2 full with sliced apples. Mix together sugar, cinnamon and water. Place over the apples.

For the crumble

  • Cream butter and brown sugar; add dry ingredients and mix. Press over the top of the apples. Bake at 350° in oven for 45 minutes. Double the recipe for a 9x13x2 inch pan.
