Not even sure where to start with this place. Without overstating I would say this is my favorite craft beer place of all time. It helps that they have 77 of their own beers on tap, that they are always reinventing new recipes, they have the best oatmeal stout I’ve ever had (Sextant on nitro), and just keep cranking out good stuff after good stuff.

In San Diego there are a TON of options for craft beer, but somehow I keep coming back to this place. My favorite location is actually the original tasting room in Scripps Ranch (10051 Old Grove Rd., San Diego, CA 92131) but I think that location is being consolidated.

If you’re wanting the ultimate experience in San Diego craft beer, go no further than Ballast Point. They also have a pretty amazing food menu so you just can’t lose. Parking sucks at this location, but that should tell you something…
