Ramona is a city northeast of San Diego, not really “on the way” to anything, but you do pass through it if you’re heading to Julian or the hills. It happens to be a thriving little community for growing grapes and wine-making, but I was there for another reason. Me and a buddy decided to make the trek and check the place out on a Sunday afternoon.

Walking in to the tasting room you know you’re going to have a good time. The place was packed (though didn’t really hold that many people) and the staff is really friendly. You get a view through a giant window behind the bar into the facility and get to see where all the good stuff is made. We did the tasting and had a few extra cocktail samples and then left. Really fun time, really cool place, and a great stop if you happen to find yourself in Ramona!
