This place has been in the news a lot lately, but when I was there back in June everything was ok. This was a fun and quick visit. To be honest, the main reason I wanted to check this place out was to snag a bottle for my uncle as he said it was his favorite bourbon, and it’s not technically on the actual Bourbon Trail.

You feel like you’re entering a manufacturing facility, but then it starts to look a bit more like a distillery as you drive deeper into the canyon of the property. The gift shop is not that big, but we were able to get a tasting in and snag a few bottles. I didn’t realize Barton’s 1792 is part of the Buffalo Trace family so that was cool to figure out. The tasting was great, our host was really good at his job. Definitely worth a visit!
